OUR PASTURED Eggs
We rotate our layers on new pasture regularly, for better eggs, and healthier, happier birds!
In 2016, we began to keep quail for the novelty of their little eggs, as well as the high vitamin & mineral to calorie ratio. Quail eggs are significantly smaller than chicken eggs, but are great hard-boiled for bite sized snacks or salad toppings!
We are also keeping ducks this year! Ducks lay larger eggs with huge yolks which are great for baking, omelets, or just frying. (Also great for those with allergies to chicken eggs). Other benefits include higher Omega-3s than other eggs, and higher vitamin A & D content.
